ANDREA LOOSEN IS A LANDSCAPE DESIGNER LOCATED IN SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA
Andrea Loosen Landscape Design evolved by merging my passion for plants, gardens, and the outdoors with my bachelor of Art degree from Long Beach State University. A native of Southern California, I began my career as a designer in the corporate business world. After moving to San Diego I went to work for Armstrong’s Garden Center as their landscape designer for the Carlsbad and Encinitas retail nurseries.
Needing more flexibility I developed Andrea Loosen Landscape Design where I am able to combine my interests and talents, which has enhanced my appreciation of the interaction between plants, gardens and people.
Utilizing my knowledge of plants and design I create planting palettes with mixtures of foliage, color, size and texture of plants that are appropriate to Southern California‘s dry mediterranean climate. Producing beautiful, sustainable, and functional landscapes throughout San Diego County. My expertise includes a wide range of styles, specializing in water wise, xeriscape, native plants and succulent design.
